2024. Targu Mures, Transylvania, Romania
This project shows what an average day is like in Targu Mures, where Roma children begging for money and littering the streets are an everday things. Poverty and environmental pollution are the basis of the Balkan lifestyle, as can be seen in the photos. While taking the photo series, it was a truly repulsive and depressing experience for me to walk on the streets of Targu Mures, but I found it all the more interesting to explain this topic, that is, the strangeities and characteristics of the Balkan world. Throughout the series, I focused on drawing attention to the homeless children running barefoot on the street or the garbage heaps on the edge of the city. I personally show what a Transylvanian city gave me.
