The busójárás is a tradition of the Mohács sokác's, an internationally known and visited winter burial folk custom. The Mohács busójárás has been on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity since 2009. Since 2012, the Mohács busójárás has been considered a Hungarian tradition, which is primarily the success of Mohács civil society, busó groups, mask carvers and costume makers.
